How to Activate Your Card
- Online Activation:
Visit capitalone.com/activate. Sign in with your Capital One account, link your new card, and enter the 3-digit security code. - Mobile App:
Download the Capital One Mobile app, log in, and select Profile → Account & Feature Settings → Activate a Credit Card. - Phone Activation:
Call the number provided on the sticker attached to your card and follow the automated prompts.
What to Do After Activation
- Update recurring payments: Ensure subscriptions (Netflix, Spotify, etc.) are linked to your new card.
- Dispose of old card: Cut through the chip and magnetic strip for plastic cards. For metal cards, use the return envelope provided.
- Sign your card: Always sign the back for added security.
